New Magnaflow Titanium Catback

Well, I just installed the very 1st Magnaflow Titanium Cat-back WRX system to hit the market! View pics here. (not sure if this link will work, but try anyway! Trying a new photo-album location)

I'll do a full write up later 'cause I'm to darn tired to do it now. But here are some specifics:

80mm (just over 3") mandrel bent Titanium
100mm (just over 4") tip

Stock system weighed approx 30lbs; this system was 12lbs.

System is available with (which I have) and without a resonator.

Butt-dyno says more power, especially up top.

I just find it funny that they use Cadmium plated hardware on a Titanium exhaust system. Cadmium causes Ti to crack. Now that's good engineering.

Stainless would be much prefered, but then it would cost even more

FYI
The cadmium "hardware" refers to the bolts........The clamps are stainless.........Cadmium and Titanium do not come into contact with one another.

Can some of you who purchased the Magnaflow Ti exhaust, with or without resonator, share your comments on how it sounds on an STi? Does non-resonated sound raspy? I'm trying to decide whether or not to buy a resonated or non-resonated. Thanks!

Put one on my STI last weekend. Got mine with the resonator. With the silencer in I think it sound kinda stock. A little louder with a little deeper sound. With the silencer out it's loud, reminds me of my friends Porsche gt3 race car. I also put in a helix downpipe.

there was a GB and a vendor selling these for like $750 if i remember correctly... i would have bought this if i didn't already have my carb-ti... the magnaflow sounds amazing!

anyone knows why its not recommended for the STI? arent all 3" about the same until you reach massive HP?

For the STi it's recommended to run a non-resonated system, because the resonated will restrict some of the air flow.
