Default Modded car or no?

Have you or are you modding the car? EGT if yes.
How about a clock since you took that out?

Default Sorry...

Factory gauges are 45mm I think. Omori makes gauges in this size but they aren't cheap. Then again, you did spend how much for that factory pod? Maybe funds are not a issue for you.
Sorry I had to make 2 replies...

Default Now you're talking.

Okay, the UP/DP combo is going to mess with your exhaust temps, ECU and boost. Again I would opt for the EGT gauge.
Without the cats in your aforementioned pipes, the temp readings are going to increase. You can do the resistor mod for the uppipe, and ponyexpress fix for the rear O2 sensor but to insure
you aren't running lean a EGT gauge will allow you to monitor temps in front of the turbo so you don't cook it.
Off topic from your question but I think you should go for a reflash after or at the same time you do the pipe swap. That will eliminate CEL's and add more safety as to the possibility of running lean. Plus it's another 20-25 hp!
I'm doing the same mods except the cat back and I have Boost, EGT and oil pressure ready to go in whenever...

Question

I have a 04 WRX and no boost guage. I'm interested in getting one to go in a better spot than the steering column. The guage pack for where the clock is would be nice, but it's a bit of an investment. Also, what use is a voltage meter?

As far as "benefits", it allows you to see the current state of your battery's charge. It can alert you of potential issues/problems with your electrical system (irregular flucuations, declining voltage, etc.). A volt meter has helped warn me a couple of times in the past (once was a problem with the battery and the other was with the alternator......in my other vehicles).

Default Hey Frosty!

You can buy that center pod aftermarket now without the gauges!
DO NOT get it at the dealer!
Plus it will hold 52mm gauges if you buy an aftermarket version.
