Default 2.5rs swap questions???

I have been considering a engine swap for my 98rs for awhile now and hoped someone could answer some quesions.
First if I get a JDM engine, what if I need replacement parts, are the easy to get, or am I ordering from Japan?
I always thought cars in Japan used a higher octain fuel. IS 92 ok for these engines?
I see all these V7, V8 engines for sale. what are the differences? would I need to swap the transmission and other drivetrain parts? I appreciate as much info as possible.

jdm parts are kinda hrad to find, helps if you know japanese.

92 fuel will work but is not the best thing. if you live in a place the sells race fuel you should use it. if you get the ecu flashed 92 should be no prob.

i may be wrong but v8 sti is twin scroll, v7 inst. but both are great motors. check out this site

Ok first off you can get parts for the car in UK or australia and it is not hard to get them just takes a while to ship here. Also are cheaper to buy from australia with the exchange rate. The octane issue is only a problem if you are running JDM ECU in that case there are chips you can get from australia for 200$ shipped to add boost and tune for the 91 octane and so forth. Contact me for more info!
