Default What aftermarket speakers fit the STI and what does it take to put them in?

i'm sure it's been asked before, i searched, couldn't find much on specifics, and crutchfield is no help, it says the vehicle hasn't been measured yet. I did find the link to the guy with the adapter plates for like a complete set it was 55.00 to 70.00 or around there.
i'm not looking for a killer sound system, i just need 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, better then stock, that will last the life of the car, i'll be using the pioneer 7400 mp3 deck from my other car.
thank you for your help, much appreciated!

Buy from this guy,

http://www.iaperformance.com

You need the whole kit with the plastic things to screw into if you want to do an easy stock(WRX) install.

Excellent service and very knowledgeable email him with questions

the front doors will take 6.5in with tweeters up on top of door. and 5.25 in the rears but some have fit 6.5in in the back with trimming some of the metal around the speaker whole. some 6.5 fit without cutting but not sure which ones. I put in Infinty kappa 6.5 in front and 5.25 back. hope this helps.

Hi! Definately contact East Coast Scooby, and check out - www.iaperformance.com. He has a fitting guide for what speakers are known to fit with his spacers. Take a peak, he's highly recommended by a lot of members on the board. The kit for the STi includes everything for the install. I just received a set, can't wait to install them. Check out his guides, a lot of useful information!
