My brother was driving the RS and the knock sensor went bad a couple weeks ago. He took it in to fix it today an they charged him $80 for the sensor and $80 for labor. They even fixed it without consent. (he brought it in to read the CEL and they brought the car back with a bill and a replaced sensor) The car has 38k miles and is a 2001. Shouldn't the sensor fall under powertrain? Thanks.

nah sensors are not covered under the powertrain warranty.
if he didnt give the ok to have the sensor replaced he shouldnt have paid for it, and they cant make him pay for it. Jay |
