Default pros and cons for electric exhaust cutout?

anyone have experience us electric exhaust cutout? any problem? any idea where should I install it downpipe or mid pipe?

it would be best in the downpipe and out of the side because you dont want to get lightheaded while driving. every cutout i've seen doesnt give a 100% seal. also its crazy loud

cost, weight, im almost sure they arnt legal in most states.

we have to do this to every power boar we buy.
our area requires through the prop exhaust on stern drive set ups.

it gets loud, and fitment will be a whore. all electronic cutoffs ive seen are bulky..

it's really cool however to have a button to scare the jet skiers with..
