Post Everybody needs an ALK! Hah!

The whiteline anti-lift kit removes a stupid design flaw in the Subaru front suspension, period.

I don't get any additional (noticable) nose dive under braking, and the result of the lift reduction under power on corners is excellent. The car "feels" neutral now, under power, on corners. I had previously compromised other areas addressed by my shocks trying to tune out on power understeer. This is the proper way to do it.

Noticed I said "trying" to tune out. I was never completely successful.

Cool

He is talking about the Whiteline anti-lift kit being sold by Dale Teague in N Carolina.
It replaces the rear pivot point of the "a-arm" with a slightly larger piece which changes the static caster and also a "poly"
bushing to mantain this change. It works! Cost is under $200 and is probably illeagle for all but mod classes in competition, so run mod, cuz it works.

Or you could get the STI bushing/mount for like $100.

I don't understand why some people say that adding 0.5 degrees of castor fixes a "design flaw" in the suspension. The geometry changes from the ALK does not make the suspension more "anti-lift". For that to happen, the axis of the A-arm would have to point throught the center of mass...which it doesn't do with or without the ALK.

cough...its the stiffer bushing...cough.
