I am taking it that a flashing cel means turn off engine now?

i just installed my Emanage from Godspeed but something might not be hooked up right so I am waiting on my greddy software and cable to come in tommorow so I can see what it is doing wrong and then set up the car the right way!

A flashing CEL definitely indicates a misfire being detected at that time. It isn't good to drive for any length of time with this condition. A steady CEL indicates a problem has been detected at some point and a code stored, but as long as it isn't flashing it should be safe to continue driving. Just get it scanned ASAP to find out what the problem is.
It's possible that if the CEL flashes but never comes on steadily there may not be any codes stored.

Yeah, happened to me when I turned up the boost when I had the unichip. Now with the UTEC it's a whole new ball game
