Default new baja owner - no buyers remorse

Just got my Baja this week. 2003 sport 5 speed. Seems like the perfect rig for montana commuting. Turbo would have been nice but I'm not much of a lead foot so seems ok. I wanted something different the the usual boring sedan and I think I found it!

welcome to the baja comunity . I am still waiting for my 04 turbo to arrive. I am as well as a non-lead foot, but I wanted the sport shift and VTD and Leather. So that made the choise easy. I found that the 03 was very nimble and quick when I test drove them. And some of those montana back roads, I can imagian the fun.

Congradulations. I purchased mine because my '00 Taurus had 130k miles and the dealer made me such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. It's an '03 automatic and, even though a little under powered, it's great for commuting. I've had it for three months and I gotta tell you, these Baja's sure grow on you. As far as the power, it seems like it's improving with the more miles I drive. Besides that, if I want some real power I can always drive my wife's '03 Ram Hemi, with it's whopping 12 mpg average. With gas approaching $2.25/gal in Ca., I usually pass and take the Baja, which I'm starting to prefer because of it's comfort and ride.

I have had my Baja for almost a year now and I am loving it. It is such a great commuting vechicle. I also do alot of camping and for heading on the logging roads in British Coloumbia Canada it just such a joy to drive with the all wheel drive on very narrow, twisting roads you will enjoy the ride....
