Angry SSR Comps - Not my favorite

This has been my personal experience w/ these wheels.

They look great, in my opinion. I had a master mechanic on NC install my suspension. He had been working on a Jaguar before putting my car on the lift. I guess he almost threw the first wheel over his head when taking it off.

I've had zero problem w/ strength. Not one of them has warped or bent.

Now, earlier this week I noticed that the clear coat on the machined lip was bubbling on two of the wheels. After contacting TireRack and SSR no one has been willing to lift a finger for me.

Now to clear any misconception, I am really anal. I wash my car w/ two sponges and throw away anything that hits the ground. These wheels were far from mistreated.

After paying $375/wheel I feel I have been mistreated. The feeling is similar to that of being plunged like a backwoods outhouse.

I find myself left wanting.

You might want to try taking pictures and sending them to SSR, or posting them.

when did you buy those? There should be a one year warranty
as indicated at the tirerack site.

ive been using mine for over a year now with no problems or
blemishes... as you, i am anal about keeping my cars clean.
i don't drive in the wet, only in the dry..plus, always waxed
and clean.

I purchased them through Discount Tire a year and 1/2 ago. Now here's a company I'm impressed with. They weren't able to get anything done, not for the lack of trying though. I wish Discount Tire carried these wheels. If they did I would have two new wheels by now. I have run into problems w/ tires and wheels from different manufacturers that I purchased from them. They ALWAYS go out of their way to make me happy. Evidently this is not the practice of all companies.

Anyway, just thought I would share my experience to educate others. I am glad to see that not everyone has had the same bad luck

on the contrary, ive had bad luck with Discount Tire (AmericasTire)
in the past and will not do business with them.
could be just the stores that i went to.

i cleaned off my SSR's again today and it still looks as good
as new.
