Any pump #'s?

That extra .5 liters makes some good numbers!

Some quick math shows over $8,000 plus tuning fees...ouch! A $4k turbo? Out of my price range.

with all that mods. are you going to be hitting the gas station alot more now? also does tuning stop the boost creep if we keep the original turbo? also is it possible to tune an sti and leave the fuel the way it is and tune everything else?

The only thing that concerns me is that the dyno plot of the DR55 on APS website doesn't see full torque 4700rpm about 700rpm later than this latest dyno result. Plus the torque plots just don't line up AT ALL under 4000rpms comparing APS to MZM. I mean APS is MUCH lower reading at lower rpms and they are converting to flywheel hp even (assuming) compared to MZMs higher whp readings in the lower rpms.

I assume maybe APS is dynoing in 4th gear versus MZM using 5th or possibly aps in 3rd vs MZM 4th?

Just makes me wonder what lag is really like is all.

EDIT: Dyno charts -

Also, notice the race gas aspect. I can imagine that without the race gas the car would put out about 50 hp less to the wheels or so. What would you guys estimate the race gas angle is worth in terms of hp?

I was just going to say that.
I've seen huge jumps in early-on torque from using race gas. On top of that is different tuning philosophies. MZM uses E-manage fuel computer and EBC. APS uses a Unichip looking thing (they say it's different than a Unichip) and boost module.

race gas allows an increase in timing, which in turbo decreases spool up time.

Yes the USDM 2.5 liter STi motor has tumblers, but the JDM 2.0 STi does not.

Just to confirmt he APS chart looks like Shootout mode HP and is crank HP(in the corner it says S_HP) Dyno dynamics bolts the engine in an engine dyno, Dyno tests it, and tests that same engine in the car. They did this for the Subaru so they would have Shootout mode. Its a popular car... Not many cars are listed but the main AWD turbo cars are.

Would the STi really weigh 3400lbs? If it isnt would that lower the power rating?

Just for a data point on weight when I ran my 13.5@99 @6000ft above sea level in stock form the car with half tank of gas, full interior (spare, jack, etc + stereo) + me (190lbs) = 3510lbs on the scale.

What's a tumbler?
A device to generate turbulence in the intake to help atomization of fuel when the manafold is cold. Unfortunately once the car is warm they are no longer needed, but they still to inhibit flow under high CFM flow.

I suspect APS ran the DR55 with 93 octane gas. not race gas hence the dramatic difference.

There was no change in timimg, the race gas was just insurance against a lean condition.
