Default Quick question re: MBC and UTEC

Hi,
I was running UTEC Stage 4 closed loop, and I have switched to an MBC (as I am troubleshooting low boost issues).
Is there anything I should change or disconnect on the UTEC after switching to an MBC? I think now, but I don't want to damage my FBC (unless it's already fried).
Thanks,

Brian

Plug the factory boost controller. Other than that you should be fine. I am running the same setup.

Plug it or unplug it?
Its already unplugged, not sure where to plug it...
Sorry but I guess I'll search on that one...
Thanks,

Brian

Just use the factory T and plug it in itself. I did this about 6 mos ago and the factory BC still works fine when I tested it the other day.

Brian,

Plug the hoses coming out of the factory boost controller using the factory hose tee that connects the wastegate to the turbo and boost controller just to stop crap getting into it the hoses. I'll post a pic if you need more.

Did the MBC fix your boost problem

Thanks guys, and Mark that makes sense.
Switched from the SR40 to the VF35 and wasn't able to get anything over 12-13psi (after the swap). I checked the ball restictor etc....everything is on there right.
The MBC has been working and allowing boost over 15psi...sometimes. Somethings still not right, as on the same day/same drive sometimes I get 13psi at WOT and sometimes 17!? Also boost seems to vary when it kicks in (with the MBC)
I will check my BOV and go back to stock valve this weekend (with a new gasket).
Still confused, but "getting there"
Thanks,

Brian

have you tried switching the ends on you BC? WHen i installed my first MBC it accidently mixed up the sides on it so that i was only pulling like 13 psi. I dont know if this will help but it sounds like the same problem.
