Question no cats and never thrown a CEL for cat inneficiency

I'm totally catless and have never had a CEL for cat inefficiency or egt temp.

I know my front o2 sensor is shot for the 4th time. Is that why I don't get the CEL...or do I have another problem?

yes.

the ecu needs for both o2 sensors to be working before it can run the "test."

it also needs a host of other conditions to be met, which is why it takes a varying amount of time for the p0420 and similar to be indicated... it depends on your typical driving habits.
