Just installed my apexi turbo timer and honestly i feel a bit dumb here.
It will not power up at all... blank screen. The timer will run up if you do not have the white and black wires hooked up to the ecu right? I have no desire for those functions as i am lacking a proper rear o2. My connections are good, i am using the HKS jumper plug. If the GREY wire is not connected to the ebrake wire properly (like say if the vampire splice did not cut through the jacket) will the unit fail to power up? or will it still give you atleast a LED indication that it is running? If anyone has some ideas based on past experiance with this turbo timer and not just a "check your connections" reccomendation, that would be great. thanks alot erik

okay since you are using the hks harness then the only possible thing causing it to not turn on is the ground. There should be a black wire coming off the turbo timer that you need to ground to a metal area. I grounded it around this one bolt behind the head unit. Also you dont need the other wires connected for the timer to work, if they aren't connected the turbo timer will work perfectly but when you toggle the a/f feature it will just display -- instead of the a/f.
Im pretty sure thats your problem because the harness makes the install pretty straight foward. Let me know if that fixes the problem, if not post back and ill try to think of somethign else. |

ok if the black wire comming off it is a ground and not just a pickoff for the ECU then that is my problem. I have been reading directions online and i thought it was a signal wire, not a ground one.
I really dont care about the air fuel part of the turbo timer to be honest with you Dan, i just want it to idle my car for X ammount of time when i shut her down. Thanks for your help dan. erik |

I just installed my apexi TT today too, okay, the correct wire for the rear 02 signal is connector B137 terminal #25 which is a soild white wire. The black wire from the TT is connected to ground and the gray wire off the TT goes to the hand brake wire which is a light green wire thats connected to the hand brake switch. Hope this will help you. Also, Can anyone tell me how to setup the A/F and 02 readings, I cant seem to set is up right. Thanks.

the only wires you need to hook up for the turbo timer to count down is the harness and the black ground. The one for the hand brake feature doesnt even need to be hooked up.
So does it all work now? |

works great, i thought the black wire was a signal wire as i figured it got its ground through the HKS harness.
Thanks for the help, i feel pretty dumb. |
