02 WRX, driver's side mirror whine.

Between 40-50mph I get an air noise/whine from the driver's side mirror area, i cleaned it up and can't find the problem, sound goes away when i tilt the mirror in

any ideas?

If there is a little sticker in the 'joint' where it folds....remove the sticker....

sticker is gone, compared to my buddy's his has the sticker still his doesn't whine, weird !

I havent done this myself, but I hear that if you stuff a little strip of felt in the crack where it folds the wind noise stops.

Great idea, pork.....I don't have the problem but if I did, I'd find some bit of FOD to poke in there and see what happens.
