Default Cobb stage 2

Will a cobb stage 2 be able to keep up with an sti? Or will an sti run away?

6-speed will hinder performance until 5th-6th gear is reached anyway.....The most time is lost shifting...

1/4 WRX 5MT will have advantage over STi 6MT...

yep, that's what makes the Evolution a bit better. however, six-speed would be nice.

Cobb stage 2 wrx will be left in the dust against an STI or EVO.
If your catless you still will not have a chance.

I wonder how the match up would be for the next step on the cobb setup. V34+injectors+fuelpump.

what are you talking about?

I have no problems with stock evo's, and I can stay side by side with an Sti.

I wont believe it till I see it.

Those evos pull hard. I have driven one and the power output is MUCH more noticable then my cobb stage 2/exhaust setup(bosal dp, oem 3rd cat, stromung 2.5 midpipe, prodrive axel back, upipe) I would probably do better with 3rd cat removed and a higher flowing muffler.

COBB 2.5 doesn't really exist. They haven't even made an off-the-shelf map to be used with top mounted intercoolers.

Now you're just being a douche, keep your misinformed rants in your own thread.

Stage "2.5" is the VF34 or VF30 setup (+TBE, +uppipe, +sti injectors) . Unofficially called 2.5 because it was designed to hold people over with a bigger turbo until their full stage 3 is out.

I'm very happy with it.

So, I take it that you are running the stock intercooler? I really don't want to take off the TXS V2 TMI, COBB is telling me that I should, because the denser charged air might lead to the car running lean, but won't the ECU adapt to that?

No it won't. You'll kill your engine. You could wait till AccessTuner comes out and get a custom tune on your AcccessECU.

1) there are all kinds of issues in here... yes mexicanpizza is very right, stg 2.5 is essentially "off the shelf"...

2) I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with stock evo's....I have yet to meet with an STi... I run laps around stock evo's at Mid-Ohio, The Glen(Watkins Glen), and Summit Pt... for those who don't know they're road courses and have many factors taken into consideration in comparison with you 2nd gear breakers.... I mean 1/4 Mustang mentality(see below)

....just stating my opinion here no need to start flaming for the Mustang/ 1/4 Mile comment.....

Yea seems a little high... I think MAYBE a 101 trap would be the limits of Stage 2. Some fine tuning could net you about 2 more MPH.
