Default running a Link Plus+J&S+AVC-R

is that possible, im sure i can run, well not sure, but pretty sure, the Link and the AVC-r, but can the J&S go in there somewhere? i read that the link isnt near as good as the j&s for knocking

wouldnt doing that be kind of redundant? i have no idea, it just seems like it may be.

it could be good but what would your reasons be?

ummm the link plus does all those things, why would you use an J&S on top of a link plus and then use an AVC-R on top of all that

the avc-r is a boost controller correct? it controls the boost nothing more

the j&s retards+advances timing for performance+safety

the link controls the injectors and all those goodies

atleast thats my understanding of it all

the Link PLus does all 3 of those, controls boost with a solenoid, controls knock via the stock knock sensor and your Knock Retard Settings

I think you need to get a seperate solenoid with the Link Plus.

You can buy a GM solenoid and pigtail for like $50. Do a search in here for it. It was posted a few months ago.

i dont know if this helps or if it should be trusted but a solenoid is just a solenoid i think, at this supply store here called "ax-man surplus" they have tons of solenoids and i saw one basically identical to my boost solenoid which i paid 100 dollars for, but at this store it was about 3 dollars.

Hopefully you can control boost fine with that setup (GM). I have the 2-port solenoid supplied by Link USA and boost is holding up fine. I know a few people ran into boost spikes and other misc problems from using the cheaper 3 port solenoids. The solenoid I have looks very similar to the ones used on TEC-II's. Kinda pricey though so hoefully the GM alternative will do its job right

I've used the J&S before and currently the Link for knock control. I will be installing the J&S on top of the Link soon. The J&S really just does a better job. It also tells me via a visual that knock is happening and how much as well. The Link just shows a numeric value later. I think the J&S will be very useful when tuning. Does the Link have gear specific boost control? If not, you may want to consider keeping your avcr.

wouldnt the link wanna be like ok mr cylinder you fire now, and the j&s would be like f u its gonna fire later?

sorry for the random way of asking the question, we all know how stupid i am

f u you're gunna fire later is correct.

I really don't remember how the avcr does it. It's a pretty common feature on high end ecu's and boost controlers.

No it doesnt. For that an AVCR is definitely needed.
