Here’s a hypothetical question. If I take my car into the dealer for a routine service and they decide to reflash my ecu to stock will I loose the ecuteck license?

You won't lose the license as it's contained in your tuner's PC. You should be able to just send the ECU back to the tuner and get it reflashed again. I know Vishnu offers to reflash for free if your dealer flashes your ECU.

I have herd the exact opposite from my tuner when I got my ECUTEK reflash. The dongle on the tuner's pc counts down and it puts the licenses on the ecu. You’re not at all required to tune with the same person you originally purchased the licenses from. This would probably be a good question to directly ask a tuner.
