Default Utec Stage 2 New Boost Levels ?

I have just installed my Stage 3 TXS kit (minus the top mount) and am running with the stage2new map until my top mount arrives. What boost levels should I be seeing? I just ran my car out thru third gear and I was only seeing .8 mpa (maybe .9). Shouldnt I be seeing somewhere above .1? I have hooked up the manual boost controller in place of the coupler that is mentioned in the manual. How many turns should I have to back out the screw? What is the boost level set at with the stage 2 new?

Thanks.

Stage 2 should be at 16 or so tapering to 14 at redline.

And Im seeing 12ish, so somethings not right. Ill try and turn out the abc screw another turn or two and see if that helps. Is it possible to turn it out too far? Obviously, I dont mean far enough that the screw falls out.

Sounds like you put the pill on the wrong side of the T onthe boost controller. There is a "pill" that has to be on the side closest to the I/C. If you scrunch the hose together you can feel it. If it is on the wrong side, you will only get about 12-13 psi.

I just got back from a few test runs and I was able to get the boost up to .1. I had unscrew the set screw about 6 turns to get there. I was just a bit worried about unscrewing it too far. I didnt know what would happen. 6 turns = mucho fun!

I bet you will have to turn the screw clock wise a lot after you put the TXS TMIC on. I can easily get 16.5 to 17 psi (4000 rpm in 4th gear, and I still have the stock uppipe. After you cold soak it, the low resistance TMIC, gives you two benefits. You can set a higher post IC pressure, and air charge is cooler. It is easy to keep the IC cool with air and/or fluid spraying. I can cover the entire plate area with fine mist. I can get the end tank temp to stabilize 3 deg F over ambient air in (with air and spray) and about 7 deg F over ambient (with air alone) at moderate boost levels below the 60% TPS point.

My driving depends a lot on the temperature data. It gives me a "density" checkpoint in addition to a pressure checkpoint. After all it's oxygen mass and fuel mass in the cylinder + tuning that counts. A stage 3 is at the edge of maximum pump fuel mass and pump octane (93 or a bit more with additives).

It's also why a high density fuel can provide more fuel mass at 100% duty cycle. There is also a mod to the fuel regulator (search) which raises the fuel pressure, which means a greater volume of fuel can be squirted at 100% duty cycle.

I think the highest awd figure TXS got with the full stg 3 (stock fuel system) was about 258 HP. That was with c16 race gas (both high octane and high density) and a custom tuned map.
