does anyone have an OEM hitch installed on an 04 forester ?

my main concern is to find out if its tucked well under the rear bumber or is it very visible ?

I have one installed on an 01. It's quite unobtrusive against my unpainted cladding. On a silver one it would likely stand out more.

I'd post pics, but mine's at the dealer getting new head gaskets. And wheel bearings. And half-sha..arrrgh!

Extended warranties are good things...

OK, so the OEM hitch (minus the tow-bar and ball extension) on my '04 is tucked in about 4 inches from the very aft edge of the bumber and sits quite close to the bottom of it. If you were following me on the road, you would have a hard time even seeing it. Hope that helps...

^Ditto. Without the towbar and ball, and with the cover-cap in place, its nigh unnoticable.
