theres actually a TSB out for that. if i remember correctly, it says that a customer complains for a shudder when cold first starting out. deepending on how many miles you have on your car, they may replace the clutch under warranty. this has been a common problem that subaru has just now addressed

The TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) number is 03-51-02R.

Search this site, someone posted a link to it.

are tsb's only under warrenty? or can u still get a tsb work done for free.... kinda like a recall but not as harsh. you should take it to the dealer and just let them look at it. I had mign replaced under warranty, who knows, depending on the condition of your car they might be nice enough to replace for you. ie, low milage harsh shudder.

I called them and they said to bring it in. He didnt seem to hopeful that he could do the work but he definately seemed to be on my side of the fence. He agreed that I shouldnt have to pay for something the factory screwed up on. But he is going to check it out and see what he can do. I take it in on thursday so I will let you all know then.
