Default Teeth brushing: water or no water?

I run cold water over my toothbrush before(after applying paste) and after I use it.

I start with cold, and then usually warm it up about half way through.

Finally! A poll that delves into the psychological depths and is daring enough to explore previously taboo subjects. Go you!

eh, no water at all. I figure the point of brushing is to clean by abrasion. Toothpaste contains diatoms(maybe not anymore) which polish the teeth. So as I see it the water added would just lessen the effect of the toothpaste. Just my take

no water.... rinsing after your done brushing is pointless, and its just one more step to do in the morning. Since i already cut out breakfast its not a problem.
