Question Volk LE-28N's fit STI?

Well I found the list of wheels that will fit the STI. I see the CE-28N's listed but I want to know if the LE-28N's will fit over calipers. Would 18 X 8.5 ET 44 or 45 fit without any problems? I want complete bolt on fit, no mods etc. Any ideas?

If they make that size wheel in an LE28N then I do not see any reason why the would not fit. That is more than wide enough to clear the brembos.

AFAIK

The only difference between the two is that the LE28N's have a polished lip, where as the CE28N's do not. Other than that they are the same wheel. So if you look in the fitment guide I have compiled any of the CE28N's listed (LE28N's for polished lip) will fit.

Thanks Trey for posting that pic of my wheel! Damm, it looks real good. But to answer your question KARI, I am sporting 225/40/18s Kumhmo Ecsta MX tires on those wheels and there is NO rubbing whatsoever. Ride feels good.

Exactly! CE28N's are the exact same thing as (L)imited (E)dition28N's. And just to let you know, CE28NF's are going to come out soon. They only come in 18" and the only difference is that there is no lip on it.

VaderSTI, just wondering why you decided to go with 225/40/18's and not 235/40/18's. They look like they're stretched on just a little. Would 235/40's rub at full lock? Again, they look sweet!

Congrat VederSti, nice wheel!

Besides the question from previous guys, I have 4 questions

1. Is your wheel spec 18x8.5 44+? I just want to make sure.
2. Did you use spacers? If so, wut size?
3. Correct me if I was wrong, LE28N 18x8.5 only come with 114.3 bolt pattern, how did you solve the mounting problem? I tought STI has bolt pattern of 100?
4. Can you post more pictures of your car?

Please let me know, thanks!

-Bryan

Eastwind,
For fitment on the STi, you can refer to the list I compiled: Wheels that fit the STi.... with that said the correct fitment is Volk CE28N = 18x8.5_ET44. You will not need spacers of any sort. As for the bolt pattern both the CE28N's and the LE28N's (same wheel just one has polished lip) come in 5x100 (STi bolt pattern), if you look the wheels actually are dual drilled (10 holes) which allows for fitment on the STi along with different cars without making a totally new wheel.

Here are a few pics that I have found for you of VaderSTI's car:

Hope this has helped,
Rick

Thanks a lot Rick, this really helpful!

I used to drive 02 WRX and I always have an impression that the WRX will need off set 48 or higher. Hum...I guess it's not true, since LE28's 44+ offset will work.

Other offsets will work, it's just reccommended that you stay in between 48mm-55mm offset. But as you have seen some companies offer offsets outside that range, and they still fit fine .
