Default What would a "major" maintenance job include?

This is related to my other 2 threads

Anywho... the Subaru guy highly recommended that I get a "major maintenance job." What is included in this? His quote was for $482 ... How much could I save by doing these myself...

I figure that they want to:
-Change oil/filter/etc (which is only 2000mi old)
-Change all fluids
-New belts
-New coolant
-Plugs (which are currently 2k miles old)
-Wires (which are currently <2k mi. old)
-Air filter (which has around 9000mi on it)
-Fuel Filter (which has around 9k on it)
....

What else does major maintenance include?

Thanks again
-Ben

You could do most of that yourself, but why? Don't just replace everything, especially stuff you just installed. You could spend the 500 and see no improvement. Go to a different mechanic and tell him you want to know what specifically is causing the problem. Then get that fixed.
