Post Pics of original-style RS in action?

I'd like to show an older RS to someone who needs a used car. Any pics on the Web of the RS before it got the big non-US fog lights? Preferrably off-road action--anything that looks cool. Gilson's subaruadventures.com had some I think, but that site appears to be gone. Oh--and what year was the first RS anyway? Thanks.

The first year of the RS was 98 and is the only year that did not have the large fog lamps except for those in Canada. I think they get the smaller lamps.

Nope there was a RS in 89 or 90. it was simply a non-turbo RX.

Yep, that be true.....

Loyale RS (not exactly; this is a GL- the RS was a higher trim level, non-turbo).....

Loyale RX....

Have had the pleasure to drive both.....the RX was sort of a replacement for the XT Turbos and XT6's

I just so happen to have a 98 RS for sale. No action pics at the moment, but at least you can look at the car.

Visit http://www.tacticmedia.com/RS/ for more info.

The RX was the "racing" version of the Subaru sedans and 3drs. The XT and XT6 outlasted the RX by a few years with the last XT/XT6 being sold in 91, and the last RX in 89.

BTW the XT6 was a "test" model for the Legacy, and in fact the 90 legacy was not that far from the XT6.

There are 3 Subarus that I know of that are not a version of the platform under the current legacy/impreza.

Subaru 360 (I have one)
Subaru Justy (I want a 4dr)
Subaru SVX (who doesn't want one?)

The FF-1 may be different. The inboard brakes certainly was different.

So if you don't own one of the above three you can't really talk down the earlier Subarus.

scoobydriver...that is the gravel pit in Minnesota...right????

I love that freakin' place

Sweet picture too, i will have to go out to another race sometime soon...well maybe not untill i get gravel rims as these oz supertourismo rims are purddy and i dun want to hurt them, that would be a sad sad thing and should get me shunned for life, rally-ing on oz rims...bad bad bad. ]

lemme find a action pic of my car before i swapped the front bumper, i just liked the more aggresive front end, different boats for different people i guess.
