Ok, ive got my swap just about done. Both the engine and tranny are in the car and waiting to be wired up.
I have one question regarding the STI tranny. I have a new one from the v.8 JDM STI with the DCCD. This has 6 wires coming from the tranny rather then the normal 4 wires that are on the wrx 5spd. 2 of those wires run to the DCCD, and I have figured out which wires they are etc and labeled them. My question is in regards to the final 4 wires. They need to be hard wired to the 4 original wrx wires. Which colors go to wich wires. Anybody have the schematics on this, or know it off the top of there head? Thanks for any help, -John

2 are for the reverse lights , 2 are for the neutral switch.

Not sure about the colors, but the neutral sensor is on the top of the tranny more towards the back, at least on my non-suretrac JDM unit.
Here's a picture: http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil..._umn/15329.JPG Hope this helps... |

This thread is only 4 years old, but I am also looking for info on the 4 wires that need to be spliced in for the neutral safety switch and backup lights. What colors for which; both STI and wrx

Has almost every single wire I soldered (engine and tranny) and you can see the colors on all of the wires. PMing you the guest password. |

If you are talking about the connector that plugs into the tranny extension harness (speedo sensor) Then they should be: Pin 3 (Green/Black Stripe) Fuse Box (Fuse 18) Pin 2 (Black/Red Stripe) Not Sure...exactly Pin 1 (Green/Yellow Stripe) Input for Microcomputer in Gauge Cluster (Speedo) Hope this helps a bit!! ![]() |
