Basically just like the title says, do you think that an RS is a more nationally competitve car in GS or in STS?

I'd vote for STS as well.
This is partly because the lower the traction environment you are running in, the greater the traction advantage between AWD and 2WD cars is. (In other words, the difference between AWD and 2WD on street tires is more noticeable than the difference between them on R-compounds.) Shane -- SM 729 |

Under last year's STS rules, I'd call that a push. Under this year's STS rules, the car is much more capable in STS than in GS.
Oh.... and a GS 2.5RS isn't a whole lot of fun. You can either have terminal on throttle push or scary trailbraking oversteer on corner entry. You must have one of the two. The "new" car is much more fun to drive. Almost twice the whp and half the drive wheels. ![]() Andy H. 25th at 2003 Nationals in GS |
