best price i could find for gold PFF7s was $1430usd shipped usps by subaru gwinett in the US.

i've never ordered new wheels before from across the border. aside from the gst/pst, how much in duties will there be on top of this price?

Call Canada Customs and ask them directly that way you'll know for sure what the real charges should be. If you have them shipped over, avoid UPS cause you'll get burned by them.

Use USPS (they charge $5 for customs fees) Fed Ex (customs fees are included in the shipping price) If you have them shipped to your home here.

Or have them shipped to someone in WA and bring them up yourself. You'll be charged the GST & PST and duties (I don't know the %) But I beleive if they're not made in the USA you'll be charged a duty.

I think wheels are TOO big to use USPS.

Maybe individually that would work, but that probably would be more $$

i've tried calling customs and spent 30 minutes going around in circles without an answer

ups charges brokerage fees based on the price of the shipped item. i'm looking at least several hundred dollars for something this expensive.

fedex does not offer brokerage, and air freight is the only option because ground shipments is only for people with corporate accounts, which gwinett and myself do not have. i would either have deal with it myself, or pay for a fedex-appointed one, which costs much much more than ups.

14.7% for gst/pst.

I just called Canada Customs and I spoke to a lady there. If the wheels are made in the United States then there's no duties, if they're made outside North America, your looking at 8% duties on top of the Gst and Pst. So the Prodrive wheels unless its stamped that they're made in the United States you may be charged 8% duty unless you say they're made in the United States.

wow u actually got thru to someone at canada customs?!?

PFF7s are made by speedline and it's cast in big honking letters on the rim... where are speedlines made?

if not... this means i'm looking at almost 23% on top of what i have to pay for the wheels shipped... $4500-4600cdn? did i get the math right?

living in canada sucks

I got through pretty quick, I just called 1 800 461 9999 and pressed 0 to talk to someone. Got connected within 2 secs. Yeah kinda sucks the wheels are made in the UK. You might want to pm Peter Parsonage (Petrie) he imported our Speedline wheels from the UK about how much he paid for duties etc. Or if you ship them to someone in WA and have them bring it up. You might be able to get away with all taxes. Or if you know someone who is moving here from the US get them to bring them.

no i've looked into the WA option before but it's too much trouble to inconvenience others. same thing about trying to get a PO box (ups won't ship to a PO box addy) and bringing them up on my own...

oh well it was worth a try.

well get Rotas, you can get 2 sets for the price of the Prodrives, not to mention there are a tonne of nice lookin' Rota wheels.

OR:

just like I said if you want them, Buy them, simple as that, there is no way around not paying brokerage and gst/pst etc, thats the way it goes, living here unfortunately.

Sell the brembos and get a smaller kit, like the twr, or the AP Racing (holy expensive)

You have a full brembo set?

yes i'm assembling a 6spd sti conversion for my wagon and in order to buy what i needed i had to buy the entire set of brembos.

i had a long list of local nasioc members beating down on my door for these, but i was hoping to be able to keep them... but it's just not cost-effective for that bling-bling factor
