Default thanks to the bastard who hit my car yesterday >_<

did my grocery shopping at save-on foods at metrotown and some bastard ran into my back bumper with a shopping cart. how do i know? because the cart was still imbedded there when i came back out.

now i have a nice hole next to the license plate and there are stress cracks in the paint.

another $300 deductible i could have spent elsewhere

motion sensor is useless in an enclosed vehicle, they are for convertibles...get a second shock sensor mounted in the rear if anything

Ben do you think it was a malicious attack like that Hyundai or Kia commercial?
Seriously though, do you think someone launched it at your car or it was really an accident?
Sorry to hear about that.

ouch
The worst part here is it sounds almost like a case of "vandalize-and-run".. just senseless..

I had a hit and run happen to me exactly a month ago to the day:
here's a pic after washing away the mud and grime:

Luckily, I was able to buff almost all of it out. How bad is yours Ben? My brother has many different grades of professional rubbing compounds that can take it out as long as it isn't a "hole" as you described it.

I have the worst luck with all this, so by creating this donation bin every week I'd just be cleaning it out about once a month!

As sarcastic as that may sound, I am absolutely not kidding, 3 fresh dings (2 minor, one nice one that took off all the paint!) found on my car after it came back from being fixed already!

Horay!

talked to tommy at akautoworks and he says it will cost $200 to repair my bumper, which falls below my $300 deductible cutoff point.

i tried using that scratch remover stuff to fill in the paint cracks to some degree, but my attempts to patch the hole was not good. if i cannot find that pig sticker to cover it up it looks like i'm $200 in the hole

Yar, I'm super paranoid now. I only park in large parking spaces, even if I have to walk farther. I never trust people opening doors anymore. Not after a UBC parking lot.

That sucks ben, anyway at least it's cheaper than your deductible =\\\\

no i did not. 22.8% in duties/taxes, plus brokerage... i just couldn't afford it

but i ended up with an oem sti clutch and a cusco flywheel, stock shift linkage, and the entire rear end, all brembo hardware.

but no diff, axles, driveshaft shift boot or knob... and of course, the damn tranny itself

should have taken me up on my offer in storaging it. then all you would have done is drive down install, then drive back up with the new trans.. not duty or brokerage fee..
