Unhappy Take my place to the track day =(

It is starting to look very bleak for me attending the Subaru track day. I was all fired up about attending until I looked at a crap load of minor details.

If there is anyone planning on going but havent paid, please let me know, I would like to sell you my spot. Ask Angus about me and he will tell you that I have in fact paid and registered, so this is not some elaborate scam.

I also want you all to know that even if noone takes my spot, my money will stay with the event. Consider it my contribution to what seems like will turn out to be the event of the century (Ive always wanted to say that).

Before you toast my huevos nice and crispy let me assure you that I am trying all I can to be there. I fyou would like to here the whole sob story, just start flaming, Im sure Ill respond.

Im terribly sorry. Angus, thank you SO much for arranging this meet. I hope to ge to meet you soon.

Wink

ok, you asked for it. Warning, the proceeding is intended as a sob story!

Well, its actually not that sad. Im getting married in August and Im also moving into a new place in August. And while my fiance is very supportive of me making this journey it is in the middle of the week. And while this would have been fine at my current job (I have two weeks vacation still) I will have a new job by then. While I would ask for that day off, I will actually have to take off Wednesday and Friday just for driving to and from Nor Cal.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Im going to be a father in December? As scary as it sounds to have a scooby lover with child, there is no denying it.

So lets recap.

1) New apt (no problem)
2) New Wife (no problem)
3) New job (big problem)
4) New baby (Huge problem)

If this event were at Button Willow I would have been there. The next time there is any kind of track event at Button Willow, and even if there is another event like this up north in a while, I am there. There is just no resposible way for me to pull this off right now. I know I know, when have I EVER been responsible?

Well, I hope these are good enough reasons for me to stay back and sulk while you all have fun learning how not to die driving. If not, well I have this wonderful place where the sun dont shine hat you can stick it!

Hey a there are already plenty of Scuby lovers w/kids!! (I think...) I am one... Exactly why my son is starting to kart train already (only 4, but hell me and my uncle were both riding dirt bike near that age... Hell my uncle was riding local short-track here in Sacramento when he was 6 1/2... Not that Gma liked it much but hey, whatever!!!

Mike

(Let me know if you find the STi/etc baby seats anywhere at a reasonable cost... maybe a GB?!??!?)

Thumbs up

You want the Recaro Start seat it covers your kid from 2 months to 12years and is only like $300-400 and is more like a kids racing seat. Only thing is I don't think it's available in the US yet. I told my wife that is the seat we will get our kid when we have one .
