Default old system stolen........opinions on my new one

old system was 2 eclipse aluminum 12's powered by a DEI 1100d, mids and highs running off a DEI 200 4 channel, 15 farad cap, kenwood excelon deck and MB Quarts mids and highs. they stole everything BUT the mids and highs.

New system........
1 eclipse aluminum 12 powered by 2 phoenix gold titanium series ZX600's, phoenix gold titanium series 500/4 pushing the mids and highs, titanium series 15 farad cap, 0 guage wirnig, and optima yellow top battery.

Good idea or is it overkill??

Overkill or not, PG doesn't rank up high in my value per dollar ratio. I've been looking online and it seems like finding DEI amplifiers isn't bad, a lot of the 1100d's are going for as low as 240s, I'd say stick with the DEI at least for your sub amp. 15 farad cap is way overkill.

Yep, it's all overkill...........2 ZX600 on a single 12.....great for lots of power sure, completely ridiclus for a subsystem thats gonna sit in your trunk.....and be muffled by everything.....if maybe the sub was sitting in the back seat were you might actually get a sound quality benifit, then i would agree......but it sounds like you want to spend a bunch of money to have the cool stuff........

im actually not spending a bunch of money. my friend is hurting for money so im getting it all for under $500. why would i put a sub in the backseat when i always have people in my car? subs go in the trunk to produce the low end. im not looking to go to shows and impress on sound quality. i want the bass.

if your getting all that for 500. No question, get that right now. But if you were to buy new, deff no no. PG stuff is good i don't know what eagle is saying. About the cap, 15 farad? Might as well be another battery...unless you really did mean 1.5
