Hey guys, I'm selling my downhill bike.

It's a 2003 Banshee Scream with a 2004 Marzocchi Shiver.

Size Large. It's Gunmetal.

Oh yea, the bike has almost no miles on it. I finished building it in the fall, and the weather and college got in the way of riding.

Maybe 40 miles on the bike, and less than 10 hours on the fork.

Why am I selling it? I went on one downhill trip all last season. It's to heavy for urban (although going big was easy, it was to heavy to go tech on), and to much travel for XC (8 x 8). Partially need it for mod money, and partially need to sell it so I can buy a hardtail (Thinking about an Evil Imperial).

It's on NSMB, Pinkbike, RideMonkey, and... that's it. I'll try MTBR this weekend maybe.

She's pretty though, downhills like it's nothin.

everything you said is exactly why i sold my bike. i have a superlight anyway i seriously went on one dh trip and too big for urban. yeah a hardtail is a great idea for what you wanna do. build like a 3" or 4" travel slalom bike man. perfect combo of travel, weight, durability, function. im all about versatility.

I was originally going to buy a Chaparral with a Slider and use it all over. Then I decided to get the Scream. It HAULS when it gets steep and rocky. I mean flat out MOVES.

I think an Evil Imperial with a Manitou Breakout (travel reduced to 5") would be a sick combo. So much urban to ride here on campus and so much XC back home, the DH bike doesn't fit my world right now.

actually it is VERY difficult to pedal a dh bike uphill. even with a small-a55 granny gear and a biga55 cassette. its not impossible, but its just not fun.

I got fairly proficient doing it, but the bike weighs 47.5 pounds. That's hard on anyone going up hill.
