Question Where to purchase (LOCALLY) redline, amsoil, or royal purple in central PA?

I've been going nuts trying to find a retail outlet for premium synthetics around Harrisburg, PA.

Can anyone help???

Of course I am... I'm a noob! I'm noobtastic! I'm nooberriffic! But if I don't ask the right questions, it could turn into a noobtastrophy! Noobody wants that.

I can find Mobile 1 no sweat. And if worse comes to worse, that's what I'll use. But I still can't find premium gear lubes of any sort!

I'm still trying to find non-synthetic Valvoline 75w90 for the gearbox. No luck yet!

Asinine, go to Royal Purples web site, and I'm pretty sure they have a list of places that carry it. That is how I found out who had it by me in the Pittsburgh area. Royal Purple all around!

I get a few looks in my car too... I'll check out the RP website again, but if I remember correctly, it didn't lead me anywhere a couple days ago.

Why non-synthetic in the gear box, Butt?

Search

synthetic transmission grind

All I know is, my transmission feels great with the stock stuff, and I feel no compelling reason to use anything else.

I'm using amsoil 75-90 in my gearbox. I have to wait atleast 2 secs after i push the clutch in to put in 1st, I also can't put in first unless i'm 5mph and under(and have held in the clutch for a few secs). I usually crunch fifth now for some odd reason. Everything from 2-4th is very very smooth. I would advise against amsoil in your gearbox. I would swap it out for redline or NEO right now, but i just spent 45 bucks on the amsoil. Btw, it seems to be working great in the rear diff.

We shall see!

I had some really good stuff in my gearbox and it felt awesome. Ralispec imports it by the drum from Austrailia . I forget what it's called. The gearbox was very slick and sensitive. I could take it to that fine line when it came to shifting and not get any grinds. Don't get me wrong, it still will if you don't know how to shift and you push it. But you will be able to feel it better. I loved my shifter setup and it consisted of a momo air race, the ralispec oil and a kartboy short shifter and bushings.I didn't notice how much of a diference it made until I drove on another member's stock setup. Snif Sniff, missing it.

I recommend everybody go there and get it. I believe they sell it by the gallon or quart but you have to bring them a jug or whatever to fill it up. I think the total was like $70 bux to get my rear dif and tranny done. Definatley worth the trip and the guy's at Ralispec are great!

I believe that's their right information - they're great to work with. They were actually featured in a movie on Speed about the 12 hour SCCA race out at Summit Point. Definitely check them out.

For the NoVa crowd, Fairfax Auto Parts sells Amsoil.

Autozone in Manassas sells the German-made Catrol Syntec in 0W-30 (although its more like a 5W-30). Heavier weights can be had at BMW (10W-50?) and VW (10W-40?) dealers.

Thats all i know about hard to find stuff.

Theres a few places down here in york that has royal purple or amsoil. American Speed center has royal purple, redline and i think amsoil. Stemar Motorsports i think has amsoil in stock for a decent price.
