AWDrivin - I don't mean to sound rude or anything, but if you read the whole msg it was written by Kevin and not by Joe...

I've dealt with JC Sports before, yes I do have to agree they are hard to get ahold of, but they are only working hard on improving things... you have to understand that it does take alot of effort to do something like a group buy.... for heaven's sake, if you're going to participate in one, please have the patience.

Just my 2 cents... and I'm not singling anyone out when I'm talking about the group buys, b/c I've been in several myself in the past. again, I don't mean any disrespect whatsoever by posting this msg, but just allowing everyone else to see the other side as well.

Ok, now I'm really losing respect for JC Sports!!! I've been w/ this board since it started and I've noticed a turn around w/ your company, however stepping on people just to make your product sell more is no way to do business, PERIOD!! This is Alex's board, he may do w/ it as he pleases, as far as you getting publicity, you've got it and it's becoming more negative as time goes on. I think you need to concentrate on your business and not what other people are doing, or saying. From what I notice it seems as though you owe many people a product so quit wasting your time w/ useless messaging, it's getting you no where fast. I don't own my own business but I do know how to treat people and you're not treating us like adults. Your post was quite imature, and I think you need to get your priorities straight.

Sincerely,
a person whom is losing respect,

Michael

Ps. Age has nothing to do w/ maturity.

Cool

Just to through GAS on the flame. I was under the impression that the ownly real problem with JC was that sometimes it takes them forever for them to ship parts ordered. This is totally third had knowedge but I have yet to see a complaint about JC when the product was actually delivered, on this board at least.

Quickly putting on flame suit.

Well despite the uses of the TEC-II on a turbo application I know I was looking at the kit because I don't like blowing the MAF a couple times a year for no reason. The only option available at this time is to add the TEC-II which will solve my MAF problems and possibly increase performance as well. Since I will be staying n/a until I can get back to the US and get the cash to buy a turbo kit. Orignally the TEC-II was brought up as an option for the MY98-99 owners. Its also only temporary until Shiv can get his own site. I'm sure if you made a kit that would replace the stock MAF and increased performance then it would be mentioned as well. Especially if it was a benifit to people who weren't using turbos.

I agree with Fester.

Joe, there are plenty of "free" messageboards out there that would take you about 2 minutes to setup. Second, you fail to follow through with any of your tech posts, so why should you get your own forum?

Have a Nice Day?

Yeah, I failed to acknowledge who the post was by specifically. My apologies. However, Kevin is representing their business, no? The question stands.

I don't think there's ever been a question about JC Sports' products.

Their intake is considered to be the best one on the market.
Their turbo kit is said to be fully bolt on and has people running great times with little if any maintenance.
Their carbon fiber replacement parts are considered the best way to go for lightening the Impreza.
Their exhaust systems are dyno tested for a high increase in HP.

The problem has always been customer service and communication, right?

EDIT: 3rd part...bad wording

A quick note, and the end of this thread:

Alex did not setup the forum... I did...

This was done out of courtesy for Shiv. He wanted a way to communicate with the customers who had already purchased the kits. A forum specificly so customers could talk amongst themselves discussing tuning of the TEC-II with the WinTec software.

This particular forum will be moved promptly off of this board as soon as Shiv gets his website completed.

I believe that allowing the i-club to facilitate a conduit for technical/customer support between a shop and it's customers is a perfect, and well founded use of this board, and the sole reason for the creation of this particular forum.

Kevin, I please ask that next time you ask the source (myself or alex) before you start making posts of this nature.

Sincerely,
Nick Catalfamo

Not to be rude but I think there is a conflict of interest as well as bias on this billboard. The "Vishnu Performance TEC-2 Forum" is a temporary forum nonetheless, it shows that Alex and Shiv are making this board a personal marketing device. We have been turbo-charging Subarus since 1978 and were the first to offer an aftermarket turbo, and intake. Just because someone works for a car magazine doesn't make them an expert! Don't believe everything you read to be fact!!!!!

Since we're venting here... I think it is sort of ironic that Joe can find the time to post like this on the i Club but cannot find the time to update the status page of his group buys. What is the deal Joe? Don't say you are going to do things if you aren't going to do them.

Cant we just all get along like grownups. I'm looking for a turbo kit and comments like these make me move more towards a Vishnu performance solution than JC sports.

I think that many people could have reasons to vent about many things with JC Sports, but its definitely not very productive. This type of post doesn't seem like very good business anyway. Why not just write to the Imprezidents and see what they say?

Maybe this thread should be locked or deleted. It's gonna be a flame thread. I can see why JC is mad and I quote

"so for jc to say it takes 13 psi on a minnam kit to go 12.9 is bull*****!"

A bit of diplomacy and niceness could have made that post less spiteful towards JC. I'm not taking sides here - but please, gentlemen - LET COOLER HEADS PREVAIL.

Shane, no offense, okay? I think I met you once. I don't want you to deck me if you see me again.

Also why does JC Sports find it necessary to knock everyone else's product to sell theirs? The fact of the matter is competition is good. It breeds better product and (in theory) better customer service. If JC really wants equal treatment then how about equal customer service? No, I haven't ordered anything from JC Sports but that's mainly because out of ~10 emails I think I got one response.
What ever did happen with that group buy?
