Post ~ IF ~ the the '02 turbo could be transplanted to the '98-'01 Impreza....

...would you?

I know I would. Simply coz my car looks better than the new one and I've always wanted a turbo!

Hopefully when they test the new '02 Impreza(North American version), the numbers will be impresive 0-60, slalom, 1/4 mile and skid pad. Then again, the magazines test the new cars with the lack luster stock tires so the results will be a bit deceiving.

I'm hoping the N. American WRX will live up to its reputation. I'm expecting 14.5 second 1/4 mile times.....or am I expecting too much?

I'd say your right on target, I've been planning on doing this since day one that the turbo was announced. As opposed to getting a new car in a couple of years and losing the investment in the suspension and body of my car, I'm going to preserve it, then slam in the new engine and whoo-hoo party time.

I take real good car of the car, and hopefully the body will be in good shape still when I go for the swap!
