Default H6 oil filter? good stuff? or do u know for sure?

i read that an sti oil filter caused some guys engine to decide it didnt like its bearings and that it wanted new ones so i told my parts guy at the dealership i wanted nothing to do w/ it, he recommended an h6 oil filter, it mates up just fine as much as i can tell, does anyone know of any problems with this?

on scoobymods.com they have a oil filter comparison:
http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...&threadid=2119

It seems to me that the STi filter is only smaller so it will clear the uppipe for the turbo. The H6 and the STi's filter insides are both convex so it would probably be the only one that would work out of all the other subaru filters.

If you dont want to use a subaru oil filter you can get a greddy filter relocator kit and thatll give you ports for oil temp and pressure too but you have to use an oil filter for an AE86 to use the relocator.

if you wanna do that filter relocation thing i think you might be able to piece together the parts from summit racing for cheaper, or maybe add an oil cooler while your at it
