Cool

I think you should set up a shop in St. Louis , we don't have anything out here. I hate waiting for stuff to come in from orders too, I'd like to see it, buy it, install it, and enjoy it in the same day.

If not St. Louis, maybe near Chi town.

I would love to come, but 10hrs is too far for me right now.

Jim - Is this a "install my parts for free" tech session? haha... What kind of s/b and links did you get? Sounds like something fun and easy we can do, I don't have a problem with it.

We can do sway bars, cat-backs, strut tower bars and such if anyone wants to.

Oh and I hear pooh will be bringing alot of Hooter's girls with him so you don't want to miss that!

See ya,
Trey

Wahoo, sounds like fun. I have a 19mm STi bar and Gregs links.

If you want to hold any other install (remember 1st impressions last forever) I have the following laying around:

STi Pedals
STi Fog Covers
Rear Under Spoiler
Jpn Spec Aero Mud Guards
and on and on

I will bring everything for people to get an idea of these.

See ya there.

Do you have a Motel 6 in that area? Have to bring the dog along as well all 2 lbs of her.

Chris from Austin just take 35 into Dallas. Just before you hit downtown Dallas you'll be given the option to split off to I-30 going east towards Texarkana. Get on that and I-30 will take you right out to Rockwall and our shop. Take exit SH549, go right (south) and you'll see us on the corner after about 1 mile.

Jim, bring what you want and we'll see what we can do. I'm sure people will love to see everything.

See ya tomorrow,
Trey

Unhappy

Well, as it turns out, there's no way I can make it, unless I drive up in my rental '00 Toyota Corolla. West Houston Subaru is still waiting for a few more gears to rebuild my tranny...until such time, my Sube can't go anywhere...sounds like it'd be a lot of fun...sucks I can't make it.

Marco, come on out anytime you want. We'll have drinks cooling and snacks out so you can hang out, watch some Fast Four videos and watch people arrive.

And Sabre, you're more than welcome to come out in your rental car. We're actually expecting a few people who can't bring their cars from one reason or another. You'll have something to talk about with another guy who'll be here without his car due to a broken transmission as well! Come on, the more the merrier!!!

See ya guys tomorrow!

I have a couple Jpn video's (in Japanese) I think one is of a 22b engine build up and the other is 4 or 5 WRX's racing around. I'll try to find them tonight.

I will also bring:

Jpn Impreza 2000 Booklets (The ones form the dealers)
STi Catalogs
and other stuffs

Trey,
Honestly, I wish I could, but I've put over 2600 miles on the rental as is...I don't think they'd be keen on me throwing on another 800 or so.

Regarding the transmission, there's not much to be said except that four-puck clutches are NOT easy on the tranny. I'd go with a billet tranny rebuild with some custom gear ratios if I had the cash... :/

Perhaps if you have another get-together, I can be there, with my car.
Have fun,
Geoff
