Post IS the GB rally televised live today, or will it be on later?

Subject says it all, just wondering if the rally is on today! I figured it would be televised later, but not sure.

Thanks -

Yup,
We are out of luck. For those of us that have Speedvision we have to wait two weeks to get a short summary of a rally.
The Australian rally will be shown Dec 3 (I think), so that is 4 weeks to the GB rally.. arrggg....
I get close to real time quotes from www.swrt.com and great articles at www.f1picturenet.com (if you are F3000, F1, WRC, and BTCC nut like I'm you will love this site).

NASCAR := very BASIC

10 Left turn

20 Straight

30 Left turn

40 Goto Line 10

This way, they won't get too confused.

The true drivers in EVERY sense of the word ARE Rally drivers... Not NAPCAR, Indy, F1 SCCA or whatever. They are each good in their own way, but rally drivers are MILES ahead in every aspect of "driving" and controling a car at ANY speed on ANY surface, day or night, in ANY weather condition!

Question

Didn't they postpone the race to coincide with the release of the new "i" Club site?

Well I haven't seen a stock Chevy Lumina, or whatever they race take a left hander at 180 either. No offense but that is a ridiculous comparison.

Oh and snoopy, thanks for breaking the race down so us computer geeks can understand I know I rarely see anything that isn't on a monitor.

Thumbs down

It's too bad that everyone here isn't open minded enough to give all motorsports events credit for what they are. Whether it be lawn mower racing or F1, tractor pulls or shifter karts, Nascar or Rally. Each type has its own good's and bad's. Could most/any of us last 3 hours full out in a rally stage? Probably not. Could most/any of us last 3 hours running around an oval at 170+ in a (you choose Nascar, Cart, etc.)? Probably not. Do any of us have to like every type of motorport event that exists? No. But jeez, stop acting so childish (name calling, red-neckisms, etc) when someone else likes something you don't.

I'd try 6 hours (in either type race)...I might be the absolute last car through the finish...but I'd be smiling like the Joker for a long time!

Its not the cars I have a problem with, its watching cars go around oval tracks for hours at a time. If these cars are that good, lets get them off the super speedways and on to some real tracks, Laguna Seca for example. Also why are there only American built cars running? Is that all NASCAR allows? If so they need to open it up so they can get some real competition.

Non-American cars are allowed. Not that it would matter, since nothing running on NASCAR circuits resembles anything you could buy at a dealership anyway.

Nothing's as easy as it looks for they guy who actually has to do it. Especially when you're trying to do it better then anybody else.

That said, I just think the roundy-rounds are, for the most part, boring to watch. Wouldn't it be great if we got 3 hours of live rally coverage instead?

I'd like to think that (above) is what everybody more or less means. Its a shame that the rules don't allow any *real* development to the cars (for those of us who are "into" that sort of thing). I accually liked watching the road race (Sears Point maybe???) NASCAR race. I, however, find ovals completly uninspiring as many of the others above do. Its a shame that so few Americans are aware of the different kinds of racing world wide. Rallying is gaining popularity, so hopefully we'll get more TV coverage of it, and live at that, some day....

Take heart! I believe David Richards (Chairman of Prodrive) leveraged a large (but non-controlling) share of Prodrive to a group of investors to buy the media rights to the WRC. I've read that he's in the process of trying to package it for better release to television. You may get your wish!
