Got mine on the way. I plan on putting a little guy on my helmet.

I'm not really a sticker type of guy but I like these. I think we need to come up with a common location to put the one with just the monkey so we can identify each other. Maybe over the 3rd brake light? What do you think?

I got 2 12' and 2 circles. The 12' are going on the back side windows and one Monkey is going on the rear.

The other is following me into my cube.

Well, I was aiming toward having the 2.5" monkey under the side marker light. Dunno...I've always thought decals under there looked cool. After all, we don't get the STi carbon fiber plaque...

Wassuup Guys.

Now, I'm all for the Trunk monkey, I've read the original post that started it all, and I've been following the humor ever since. Whenever I try and explain it to a buddy though, I'm at a loss for words.

So my question to you is, after you deck out your car with "trunkmonkey racing" banners, how will you explain the name of the "tuner" company to some fool who asks about it?

Moreover, how will you keep a straight face while trying to explain it?

I don't know about the straight face, but just read the first item in the Trunkmonkey FAQ on the Trunkmonkey Web site:

What is a Trunkmonkey?

The Trunkmonkey concept had been floating around the labs for quite a while before anyone actually decided to implement it. Consisting solely of a trained monkey and a steady source of ice cold high-quality import ale or lager, the Trunkmonkey lives in the trunk of any Subaru Impreza, Legacy, Forester or SVX platform vehicle and helps to automate weight transfer at the rear wheels during spirited driving maneuvers.

I've had numerous people ask me about my Trunkmonkey. I simply quote the first question of the FAQ. When they get confused and ask where the Trunkmonkey is, I point at the plush Trunkmonkey in the back seat (or in the hatch, if the seats are down).

That's where the straight face comes in. "Well, of course he's not moving now, the car is off!" There's one girl here at work I actually convinced that the monkey does something. She asked how much I was selling them for. I told her $1k after R&D costs. She said she'd "think about it." Uhm...yeah!

Then again, she's quit naive when it comes to cars, but I've been having a hard time keeping a straight face with her. Other people either get the joke (or at least understand that it's a joke) or completely brush me off as a lunatic.

Easy, my trunkmonkey will be armed.

And he will not take anyone making fun of him.

My baby just received some Trunkmonkey loving today. Got two 2.5 inchers on both sides of my spoiler (right in front of the 2.5RS) and a banner on my rear window. All I can say is, I can already feel the added horsepower.

btw - my trunkmonkey seems to appreciate being seen in the car a little bit more now.

The stickers look nice, but it's against my religion to put stickers on my car. Sorry. Do we have any plate frames comming?

silverSurfer - Where did that monkey come from? He totally rocks! Give him a steering wheel instead of a turntable and he'd rock as a Trunkmonkey!

Oh, also, we'll be doing our next run of gray and black on Monday...so get your orders in now if you want to get part of that batch!

Hey, you guys should get some shirts made. I'd buy a black trunk monkey T-Shirt. Lol, a polo with a trunkmonkey logo on it would be great for my meetings with clients.

-Brian

P.S. I have a dark blue rs, would a gold colored or anthracite monkey emblem be feasible? Also, maybe I should get the "Trunkmonkey Racing" windshield banner for when I go the the Subaru Track day in Sept. Lol.
