Cool Road trip to Cobb Tuning!

Okay, if you guys aren't tired of seeing me post multiple messages within a few minutes of each other, I've got another one for ya!

Geoff is taking his Outback to Cobb Tuning on Sept. 9. They will be doing some tuning work, vacuum hoses, etc. and a possible trip to a dyno. He'll be going up Friday night, the 8th.

Steve and I are wanting to go up early Saturday morning (because we're cheap!!). We've missed out on the grand opening and would like a chance to check his shop out.

Anyone in the Houston area feel like making a caravan to Rockwall?! Let me know if you are up for it. E-mail or pm for more details.

Later!

Adam

I'd be interested in the Auto-X if my transmission wasn't in need of slight repairs. Count me in after the Cobb trip.

Now I'm not sure I'll make it to the race this weekend. We are headed out of town and may not make it back in time.

Chyisan are you going to Cobb with us?

Hmm...I'm kinda struggling with that. School starts today and...well, you know. I'll let you know when the date comes closer.

I just called Trey to give him a heads-up on the whole roadtrip thing. Of course, he's cool with it, but I thought he should know.

He mentioned checking to see if some Dallas guys wanted to meet up with us and perhaps do a lunch or dinner (depending on how long it takes to get stuff done...) - Anyone from Dallas reading this??

I will send out the Scooby signal (kinda like the bat signal but an oval with stars!) to all the Dallas, Arlington, and FT.Worth crew. Heck, maybe we can get the Austin guy to come!?

Do you mean Travis? I'll get in touch with him and see if he's free.

Alex, thanks for spreading the word. Would like a chance to meet you guys & gals. We could even discuss some of the website issues over lunch/dinner, maybe?

You guys are so lucky to live near Cobb Tuning.
On Oct 28 I'll be having to drive all the way there from Ontario, Canada - a 1,600 mile trip for me!

Ed, what will they be doing? Maybe we can set up another road trip for a few of us.

Still waiting to hear from a few other locals. I'm hoping it'll be more than two of us going up.

Bohanan @ work,

Trey's going get my car tuned up properly once and for all. Rimmer has supercharged my car (Eaton blower @ 7 lbs boost). The car has never been properly tuned and I've had several catastrophic engine failures (cylinder # 3) costing me a lot of money. Enough is enough. I've decided Trey the man to do the job.

My dream is to bring the car up to 350 HP (if possible) and yet remain streetable. We're talking custom cams, ported and polished heads, hi-flo exhaust, bigger fuel pump, hardened tranny gearsets, HD clutch and ultralight flywheel, programmed ECU, water injection, etc. anything he deems necessary to accomplish the task.

I mentioned to him that reliability is of utmost importance. I need to know I can go WOT without worry about engine or drivetrain failure. I'm willing to make concessions to meet that end. My plan is to leave the car in his trust for the winter.

It would be cool if we could meet up with any of you guys while my friend and I are in Texas, checking out the sights.

ETA will be Monday October 30.

Ok, later,
Ed.

Ed, good luck. I hope Trey can get it set up the way you want. I'll mark it on my calender. Don't know how many people will be able to make it on a Monday though. Keep me posted and I'll see what I can do. I'd love to see that supercharger in person!

That's a pretty impressive shopping list Ed. I think Trey is absolutely the right tuner for that type of work.

I'm headed down there sometime before October 30th to see a Haltec E6K on an Impreza and learn about it. Fortunately it's a bit under 400 miles for me.

I'm in so show up. It's only a few minutes drive for me. The DFW area owners had a pretty good time at Speedzone last weekend (after the confusion of WHERE we were supposed to meet).
