Post Dang it. Three body shops won't paint my sideskirts.

They all say that the type of plastic we have has this oil that will prevent paint and flex paint from holding on for more than 2 years max. They also mentioned about the rough surface of the side skirt.

Anyone in Maryland or northern Virginia got their's painted? Who'd you go to?

I'm almost believing them despite everyone's testimonials about the paint sticking for a long time. Makes me want to get Cusco sideskirts.

Find yourself a small shop that won't argue. Paint will stick to the skirts, no problem. Other Impreza's come from the factory with painted skirts.

Make sure they mix in a flex additive!

Snoop,

If you still want to try and call people, the two body shops that I have had good experience with are Amatucci's Auto Body in Gaithersburg and Quattro Auto Body in Silver Spring. Try and give them a ring.

Volvokiller:

Have you had anything done in these places as far as painted side skirts or wing?
The thing is I have a V5 wing that needs to be painted and installed and also side skirts that I want to paint. I got a quote from this place in College Park and it came up to around $700! There is no way I'm gonna spend that much.
I was thinking of taking it to D&D as well.

WRC, I haven't had them do any painting like that. Amatucci's fixed my Oldsmobile once and touched up the bumper on my RS as well. Quattro comes highly recommended from a few sources. I'm waiting for some stuff from Gino to come in and then I plan on gettin it painted.

Snoop, any luck?

When I used to live in Silver Spring, my mother took her Audi to Quattro and was very pleased with the work they did.
