Considering chevrolet uses electromotive computers, like your tec2, I'm not surprised . I doubt you're a middle man for anything for them....what does that make you?

Gary,

Shiv is a purveyor of *turbo kits* for *Subaru* engines with really nice engine management.

The Borrego concept crossover vehicle has, you guessed it, a turbocharged Subaru drivetrain.

I know he sells turbo kits and engine management and such. But what makes chevorlet one of his customers, unless he's pulling my leg . No more guesses, I've seen this before. I'll wait for an answer from him. I've seen 30 people try to answer FOR shiv, before, and it wasn't pretty. It's nothing I'll lose sleep over, though .

Shiv: this thing exists? As I said in the other thread, those are all photomanipulated compositions with a 3D model of the vehicle. Why didn't they use the real thing? That's kinda strange, especially considering that there is no mention of the images being composited (it's obvious; the model itself isn't all that well modeled or rendered).

Greg.

Yep. I assure you that it exists. It's a real driver too.

Teh car is surely in its final stages of the build. If it is not being built by the NAO shops, one of the concept build shops around here is building it. Generelly the thing will be done just before the NAIAS, although marketing would generally want the thing to be done a few weeks before for photo shoots (the real car) and press introductions for the brochures and information packets. It's funny how the top of this thing looks like the Honda Spocket from the past. I too would rather see a car rather than a crossdresser, but it's a start. Can't see how the low dimensions of the boxer powerplant influence that high hoodline...

Gary,

I know Shiv can't say anything direct, due to terms of NDA's, but "a little bird" told me that the Borrego was visited by a Bay Area Subaru tuner while it was in the bare tube frame and drivetrain stages, and was equipped with a turbo EJ25 drivetrain, and a TEC-2 based engine management system.

I really don't give a rat's a$$ what form the Sube-Chevy takes, as long as it means a ready supply of engines and drivelines. Hell, since GM likes to build things big, they may even commission Subaru to beef up the transmission so it can handle a turbo drivetrain straight from the factory. That'd make our lives tremendously easier.

I've been writing to GM for 3 years now about offering a AWD performance car. Looks like they are going SUV instead. A shame.
