Kumho MX: really grippy, fairly cheap.

Do not drive them in snow. Ever. I'm not kidding.

Tire recommendations really depend on what you are looking for. If you want a good all season tire for the front range snow/slush/rain, I highly recommend the ContiExtremeConact from Continental. It handles great in just about anything CO can throw at you and is pretty cheap to boot. This tire also gives up very little to a full on summer tire performance wise. I run them in winter an love them. For a summer tire the current font runner, based on my research anyway, appears to be the Goodyear Eagle F1 DS-G3. Brown just delivered mine today. Whatever you are looking for, I would highly recommend visiting the Tirerack website. They have an awesome database of ratings that can give you a very good idea of what's out there and how they compare.
