Cool "I" club badge for the car needed!

Hey I think we need to have I club badges made for our cars so we can differentiate the dorks from the cool guys who drive scoobies . Something small and unobtrusive, that can be peeled off if needed.

Cool

Stickers are not cool, but a plastic oval that fits in the center of the grill would be

YES!! decals for the cars so we would be able to know the difference between those who just drive impreza's and those who Drrrive Imprezas (if u get my point).

we could sell them here so those who join can buy em. Then the profit can go to helping out the site/club.

I don't get it, how does a sticker or badge identify the Subaru drivers versus the the average Subaru owner? I have seen the Civic owners with the webpage addresses stuck on the cars and I have to say it looks tacky. Just cause you have a sticker doesn't make you a driver. It just seems like a waste of time and money. There are alot of people who don't want to have any advertising on their cars. Its all a matter of personal taste. With the exception of the seatbelt pads there isn't any lettering onmy car anymore. No badge on the grille or on the rear. The steering wheel is even a MOMO. There is however the stock STI side badges. I also thought in the past that the owners of the site said to hold off and they would offer something?

i dont know how many would be willing to swap front grill badges. But i think an appropriate sized vinyl decal to fit over it perfectly would be cool.
I can do it, but it's not my logo

N/A, its easy. If you would see someone with a I club decal then you would know that they are from this board. Then you could find out who they are through messages and maybe later meet out on the road. It's alot easier to distinguish instead of asking or following down a RS owner trapping them at their house and ask them, "Do you like scooby's as much as i like scooby's, Do ya, do ya?". Just to have them say, "whats a scooby?".

I'm still on work release for that outbreak

Wink

the Pink I badge is from a UK spec STi.... it's really great and all.. (I have one at home... no, not on my car... I just have one!)but let's come up w/something UNIQUE to this place...

like... a removable window placard/sticker...
or tiny sticker for rear window...
something like that?????

not everyone is a ridiculous as i am w/my stickers and all..
we should try to find something that would be appealing to the masses...
IF there's even enough interest... it's easy to get that kind of thing made up... cake... really super easy piece of cake!

As with many here, I don't want any stickers or a pink badge or a license plate frame. How about a small (very small) plug that fits in one of the honeycombs on the grill where the Subaru badge is. Tiny! Bright yellow though! with a subaru "I" in it? Any takers? I am a graphic designer, not that my solution really needs a ton of design. I would be willing to help with this. I suppose that the final say should go the folks that own and run this site.

I vote for the small grille ornament (like Aaron said).

The Porsche club here in Greenville, SC uses a badge like that. A diamond shape and yellow would look cool, with a silver or red I. It's about an inch across.

I vote for the actual WRC 3 time championship badge that is off of one of the VersionIII or IV's. It is made by Subaru, comes on an actual factory car and is actually tasteful. Best part is its about the same size as the STI badges for the side of the car. I'd rather sport that badge on the fenders then the STI badge. The badge pretty much would say it all. If I can find a pic of it I will post it later on but its 12:02AM here right now.

Thumbs up

I like the idea of a completely unique badge the most. It would have to look like a genuine manufactured piece...

how about an 'rs' or 'RS'?

I like the bright yellow idea. I'm thinking I'm gonna get a STi "I" remove the paint and then repaint it bright Yellow .... I love the idea of a bright yellow "RS", but there are other people on this board who don't have a RS. Someone please start posting pics. So we can start voting or at least get a better idea ... What everyone is talking about.

I think this is the WRC badge that some people were talking about. Mine only has 1997 listed though, I didn't know there was one that had all three years listed.

I like the idea of a small grill badge though (I already have a WRC badge ). I vote for a small square/diamond/circle/oval/whatever that is yellow with a silver "I". Like the "I" at the top of the page, but with out the the swoosh.

Guys and Gals
I have samples to show and I mocked up my little yellow diamond installed in the grill. But, how the heck do I put photos in my post? I am really not so technical with the web. Sorry about being lame. I hope that someone can help me out so the photos will be on tonight. Thank you in advance.

AaronRS

PS: I have designed the badge for the RS grill but know nothing about the size or availability of grill space on other Subes. We will cross that bridge when we get there.

Since I still can not figure out how to put photos in my posts I posted them under the "view mods" section in my member profile. Go to the members list, click on DC (Washington, DC) where you will find AaronRS and clic on the view mods section. There are two photos to look at. Hope you like the direction. I need good critisism to work from. Not, "it sucks." If it sucks, tell me why so we can figure out what people want and don't want. As for making these, I still have to think about this. Making a plastic piece that would click into the grill will be expensive so I'm thinking of other ideas. I have been imagining this badge made like the Olympic pins that people trade. The process to make them is called, excuse the spelling, clausene'. We would need to epoxy or Crazy Glue them into the grill. Just some thoughts. Look forward to your replies.

I like it, A and B were cool. Kinda small but that's the nature of the beast i guess. Still like the Yellow "I" the most though.

Nothing ON the Grill. Well except bugs. I'd like a little 2 inch by 2 inch decal that I could put on my back or driver side rear window.

That would be cool

We could just let the Trunk Monkey ride shotgun for now on. Then it would be really easy to spot somebody from this board! You could always make fun of the idiots with the kid pissing on logos. Just make a Monkey pissing on the kid. I still have Webkris' old design and like it. He also made me a better one that I had put on a Hockey Jersey. Looked pretty damn good! Sorry I am in Japan and don't have a fast enough ISP to post pics anywhere.
