Hey Alex!
This is a pretty trick system you got! It seems REALLY simple to install. This also lets you focus on the road a bit more. You don't have to keep checking the RPMs or guess when to shift by listening to the engine noise. I have officially translated the Title sheet and the First page. (thats all I got to do over the 4th...) I have read the rest though. Here's my summarized take on what it says. This is a simple system.. What it basically does is it senses (edit.. the voltage or was it current?) through the cigarette lighter plug which RPM to shift at. (You determine the RPM) What you basically do is to start the engine, and by using the RPM adjuster (right knob) set the RPM the light turns on. You verify that this setting is correct by blipping the throttle a couple of times in the area to make sure that the light turns on at the right RPM setting. The intensity of the light is also adjusted by a knob. (Left knob) They suggest three places to install the device via L-bracket. On the dash, (on your right.. Left for Japanese cars) on the "A pillar" (which is the sructural member of the car running from the dash to the roof) or the Rear view mirror. (I have no clue how you attach it there.. *scratch-scratch*) Thats all.. Next week's update should just be of any new findings and how much of the manual is "officially translated". [one more edit] This system requires no extra wiring. Just the cigarette lighter plug given with the kit. Tim [This message has been edited by samurai (edited July 05, 2000).]

I appreciate the help, but I think I should handle it myself. I need kanji refreshers anyways..
![]() By the way, how much kanji do you know? I know ~200 and that isn't even close to what the Japanese college students know. They know close to 5000!!!!! [edit] grammar Tim [This message has been edited by samurai (edited July 05, 2000).] |

Will there be a group buy or did I miss it again? I saw it on Alex's car and it is sweet. If you need to attach it somewhere use silicone glue for permanent or velcro and double stick tape for temporary.
