That is a fuel pump that allows the gas to be pumped even when the car is turning with a lot of G. WRX have a problem of fuel starvation on track when turning because the gas shifts side to side. It is $500 or so

As long as I keep more than 1/4 tank, I don't get starvation on hard right turns, and 1/8 tank keeps me from suffering on full acceleration...

WHAT!?! You guys are all wrong... it's a grey market hyperdrive unit! Just be sure to wire it right, or it may take you a few tries to make the jump to hyperspace...

Here is what my translator told me:

A Subaru Technica international company will set fuel pump for the game for impreza sin the commodity, and put it on the market through the dealer Subaru in the whole country and the STI shop. Fuel pump for the game is a fuel pump with the fuel splinter inclined to prevention function for old and new Impreza . The fuel cutting is occasionally caused in the state that the fuel inclines when motor sports of the rally, auto-x, the dart trial, and the race, etc. consecutive high G turns while playing a game occasionally, and the amount of the fuel remainder in the fuel tank is little. The thought acceleration is not obtained in such a state and [it] becomes a time loss. *** This fuel pump for the game - the ell pump adds the chamber which puts the partition made of rubber to fuel surroundings of the fuel, and prevents the fuel cutting at lowtank by saving the fuel of about 1.5 liters in that.

Use to the motor sports game does not have the problem because (*S) has registered the game parts in JAF (Only GDB : the registration application). Moreover, [it] suits the security standard, and hoping for the tuning car of the circuit attack specification and the end in the mini circuit etc. is effective (*fyuuerupomp*).

- This item can be compatible with standard pump ASSY, and install the bolt on.

Ok... I need one of these ASAP. I've been trying to look into race tanks, but this would solve my problem so much nicer.

So I'll ask too.. who's the nice local company that's gonna get ahold of these for us?

I've run my car dry on 3/4 of a tank with a swift turbo induced hard right hander.

Where did you get that quote Faraz?

Dale's quote was around $660 plus shipping. This was a real number though, not just the translated amount in yen. This is an STi part not like the other Subaru parts we can get from the dealers.

Nick, Isn't fuel starvation fun If I'm less than half tank on a hard righthander and it's all overwith.. Really suck while AutoCrossing. I would also need to know if it is an uprated fuel pump...

Thanks

Yeah, that's about right.

Post

FYI, this pump is designed for the 2nd-Gen Impreza and 1st-Gen turbo models only.

A little birdie told me that Scott at subaruparts.com is trying to get ahold of these, also trying to find out if they're going to bolt into the RSs.

Anyone have any idea what the flow rate is on this pump?

I got a quote from Dale, but it wasn't cheap... maybe a group buy might help that out a little... but I need to know if this will support the fuel flow I need for my car.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yep... I spoke with Scott the day the post was made. I think he was already looking for the part though, I just gave him the page to the part #.

I just need to make sure the flow is sufficient enough for my turbo.

Basically it's either this little baby, or a pressurized race tank, which I don't really want to install.

So what did we come up with on it. Will it work in our Impreza???
Say like my MY00 RS?

In reference to the original post. I knew it was a fuel pump, but wanted someone to translate the web page to english to see what it said.

Thank you Alex
