Default Free 15" monitors

They're tearing down the building next door here at UBC, and last I checked there were still a bunch of Sony 15" Trinitron monitors in there for the taking. The building is supposed to come down on Monday, though, so last chance to grab them will probably be today or this weekend. I've already grabbed one - anyone else want one?

The only thing "bad" about them is that they are 15" . . . other than that, as far as I know, perfectly good Sony 15" Multiscan monitors - models are either 15sx or 100sx.

EDIT - Manufacturing date on the one I picked up is March 1996.

Okay, I'll see if I can still get in . . . there are construction crews in the building right now, so it might be tricky.

I'm heading up to Whistler this weekend, so I might not be able to check again until Sunday sometime - so if anyone wants to check it out for themselves, the building is Hut B-6, next to the Zoology building on Biological Sciences Road. It's covered in orange tarps and has most of the siding stripped off of it.

The monitors are on the floor in a room in the southwest corner of the building (it's a small, one-level building, so it's not hard to find the place).

If I manage to get in before I leave, I'll post again, otherwise you can assume that I wasn't able to get in, so feel free to try your luck this weekend. Security will be nil, as far as I know - if anyone asks, just say that you are a zoology grad student (we've been given permission to ransack the place).

You won't need a name . . .trust me. There's no-one checking access to the building - you just walk in. The construction workers will be gone by 5:00 today - but I'll be gone by then. So you can take your chances and wait for me to check back on Sunday, or drop by on your own time.

Doh! Sorry to get your hopes up, guys. I just ran over and checked, and they're all gone . However, I don't really need the one that I picked up, so if you guys want to bid for the one I rescued, be my guest. 15" Sony Trinitron Multiscan Model 15sx. I tested it and it works fine.
