Post Swappign us-wrx auto tranny to my98 auto tranny posibble?

what i mean byr that is could u swap the shifter and other parts so u could use it like a tiptronic tranny the new wrx auto has a sport mode were u can hit + and - to shift could this be swaped to the rs 4eat?

The US WRX auto does not come with sport shifts.

i know how to drive a stick better than anyone i know its my wife who cant i can drive a manual drinking a soda and shifting and steering

It depends on the shape of the bellhousing and the flexplate mainly. I looked into trying to get the Outback VDC one but the cost was about $6k+ just for the tranny and no garuntee of fit.
