Exclamation Anyone want to split the cost of DD and share one of the lisences each?

You can do that, right?

I mean one copy can be used on 3 diff. cars IIRC, so why not split the cost?

EDIT:

Enthusiast Licensing
DeltaDash is available to car enthusiast to use to test and diagnose their own car. The software will work with up to 3 different ECU versions. This allows use on, for example, two cars owned by the enthusiast, plus one car owned by a friend. The software will remember the first 3 car ECUs with which it has been used, and this will form the 3 car license for the product.

Looks like it can be done, but can you buy more than one cable set? Or does anyone have a source for the cables?

Hi Dave,

It won't work because the product license is maintained through a parallel port dongle. If there are two or more of you that want Delta Dash, let me know. The minimum dealer purchase to get any discount is 5. The discount wouldn't be much but it would be less than buying a single copy direct. I don't want to make this a "for sale" thread so just PM(and anyone else) if interested. If there are a bunch of you guys(or gals) that want to just get a datalog run and a road dyno run maybe we can find a good spot(perhaps a track) and I'll be happy to bring the laptop. We have the Professional version of Delta Dash so we can log everybody.

Just a note that the DeltaDash license is for 3 ECU types, not 3 cars. That means you could use it on ANY car that has the same ECU (ie you could use your license on any GC8, any 02 WRX, and any 03 WRX).

A friend of mine with it has used it on his WRX, my WRX, and another friends WRX. That's it though. So I don't see why you can't buy something together and share it. You'll probably have to keep the program on one laptop though (not copy it to 3 computers). We also used his cables.

Further clarification: 02 WRXs have three different ECU revisions so be careful, its not by model year.
