From FerrariChat
" just replaced a set of front brakes on an STi last week. The brake job cost 2kcnd. Yes thats a 2 and then a thousand following. The pads were 800.and the rotors were 625 each!!
Your guys might have it cheaper in the US though. I could not justify spend that for brakes on a 30kUs car!!

Oh yes..they are very fast!"

Can$2K! Just put StopTechs on - they're better, cheaper and lighter.

Is it just Full_Clip or does that sound like a subaru troll posting on a Ferrari board?

I love the amount of misinformation on the thread too!

"I have been told that Subaru sells parts that will raise the HP to 450 and still retain warranty."

hahahaha... riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

damn youd think the ferrari owners would take it worse then any other car owners and be all bitchy, but it seems they took it the lightest and actually admitted to it

When you own a Ferrari, you already own the ultimate penis extension.

Hate to sell out but I think I'd take a 360 over an STI ANY day. I liked the car since I first laid my eyes on it and fell in love with it when I first heard that exhaust roar on PCH. Just my $.02.

The STi may be faster, but you can pretty much guarantee the guy in the Ferarri is gonna get laid...

Are you kidding? OF COURSE you'd take the 360 any day, anybody who wouldn't is out of their mind, period. Or they live in alaska.

I find their comments about cars being "beautiful to look at" odd sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I completely appreciate the aesthetic value of a car, it's just that when I am enjoying driving my car, I'm inside it. Whether or not it looks good in my garage is inconsequential. But, different people buy cars for difference reasons, I understand that.

Personally, I love the look of the STi. I think to a degree, we've been trained by the automotive press on the standards of beauty much in the the same way women's magazines dictate the female standard of beauty. (For example, I personally dislike the styling of the RX-8, but everything I've read just lauds it's curves and shape.)

All that said, I would have LOVED to have been that driver in the STi....beaten by a "econbox" and a girl, that would've made my week.
